On the 1st weekend in May 2019 thousands of ABBA fans travelled to Trundle, NSW for the annual Trundle ABBA Festival.
The weekend was full of celebrations, entertainment, everyone having a magnificent time enjoying ABBA and what Trundle has to offer. The key highlights of the Festival were the headlining act Bjorn Again, Mr Q, Ben Ransom, Ingrid Mae, Amity and The Natalie Prevedello Duo. Along with the ABBA trains, ABBA markets, singing competitions, fashion of the festival and the talented Dancing with Stars Alana Patience and Tristan MacManus teaching the crowd some moves. In 2019 ABBA fans travelled from all over Australia and beyond via, bus, train, cars and planes to join in on the fun.
One of our favourite aspects of the festival is hearing about where people have travelled from and where they are going to next. Felicity, Executive Events Solutions.
The festival’s vision is to provide an event where everyone can enjoy a day out and a weekend away. The added bonus is it is held in Trundle, a town where the community get together and support each other and join in on the weekend of Fun.

This year our ABBA festival had the most exciting vibe.
Everyone knows how tough it has been out here with the drought and all our businesses have been doing it hard for quite a while so we were all pumped and got our best ABBA on for an action packed fun weekend much needed by all. It is without a doubt our busiest weekend of the year.
The feeling ABBA fans bring to our town is so happy we find the people are just so excited to be here and we love sharing our little town if ever so short we really want them to return the following year so we give it all we can.
We love the injection of cash they bring but it’s so good when we get to close up and get our ABBA gear on and join them.
We have met so many beautiful friends who return every year with new outfits and a guaranteed fabbaulous time bring on 2020 Executive Events solutions , Felicity and Pete are to commended for abbasolutely amazing job. Carolyn, Trundle True Value Hardware
We would like to thank all of the supporters of the Trundle ABBA Festival, we couldn’t do it without the local volunteers, contractors and businesses who work tirelessly to ensure the fences are put in place, catering is organised, toilets are cleaned, and everything else that is involved in putting an event on. The Parkes Shire Council have been tremendous in showing support, it makes a difference when planning events where the council go above and beyond. Thank you to Destination NSW, without the support through the grants available and marketing advice it would make for a different event.
WOW Be Bjorn Again. What a gem (or diamond) the Trundle Abba Festival truly is.
You'll never have more fun in your flares with around 5,000 dancing queens
Literally ‘having the time of their life” and what better way to start your journey from Sydney to the festival then look no further than the Abba Express Train. It surprisingly felt like a quick journey from the time it leaves Central and lands in Parkes, but perhaps that had something about the dj's choice of music :) 8 hours of Abba hits pumping out went by in a flash ! Mammia Mia did we have a blast on the train.
The atmosphere of the festival is electric and warm and by the time Bjorn Again take the stage ….well it felt like Abba were indeed in our nostalgic and colourful presence. I don't think I’ve ever smiled (and sang) so much in my life. Abba and Trundle' thank you for giving me the music'.
So it's “So Long’ Trundle but I’ll be back next year.” Donna 5 stars.
“I love hearing from the festival goers throughout the year, I get contacted by people who are just so excited about their weekend away. I love seeing their costumes transform via photos they are sending me. It’s a festival that creates joy not just for a day but for the months leading up to It.” Felicity, Executive Events Solutions.
The 2020 Trundle ABBA Festival plans are busy underway with the vision of “ABBA” in the 80s. We can’t wait to see what this will evolve into and what the costumes will be. Next years festival will be held on Saturday 2nd May 2020 with early bird tickets going on sale in June.
